okay but i pride myself in being a cool dude and stuff, and i keep my head and everything but i need to know what you mean here. are you saying you and i should... have fun? Together?

Because if that's the case surely you shouldn't be in your clothes anymore

i'm saying that you're cute. and i like you and trust you, and that's the kind of person i want to have fun with.

and i'm not taking my clothes off because having you do it would be a part of that fun!

i always kind of hoped that you did. and after what you said, i figured it was time to finally take the chance.

Should I go up to your window or is your mom not home

she's not home now but you'd better go the window route, just in case.

[ And so Hyojung is making his way to Sungki's house, his heart beating harder and harder as he gets closer, as he climbs up the vines up the side of Sungki's fancy house - how did he even get himself a friend like Sungki? So lovely, so cute, so goddamn comfortable? Incredible.

Still, he makes his way up and up until he's flinging himself over the side of the small balcony by Sungki's room, and knocks on the window. ]

[the door opens just a few seconds after. even if he didn't already know that hyojung was coming, he'd recognize his knock. he's been doing this part since they were fourteen.

so the door opens, and he peeks his head out, trying hard not to laugh.]

What's the password?

[tempornado]

[ God, Sungki is cute. He's the main reason why Hyojung has stuck around this decade for so long, despite the ever looming threat of his parents finding him out.

Hyojung grins, all crooked. ]

Luffy.

[ He's already stepping closer, feeling like he can't quite stop. It's just... Sungki.

Hyojung has been having feeling for a long time, after all. He's still unsure that they might crystallize, right now. ]

[cordiformed]

I said password, not my husbando!

[sungki scrunches his face up before smiling, reaching out to curl his fingers into the other boy's shirt and pull him inside. according to his mother, sungki's room is the safest place on earth. hyojung's parents shouldn't be able to find him here.

or that's what he tells himself.]

So... [he looks a little unsure too. not regretful or even nervous, really. just...feeling like something's going to happen but not sure when.] You made it.

[tempornado]

Hey, you picked the password, not me.

[ Hyojung just keeps grinning. ]

If it was me, you know it'd be Kakashi.

[ And then his grin drops, because all of a sudden, he's inside Sungki's room, and they're very close. He licks his lips, heaving a breath. ]

Yeah, of course I made it. Did you doubt I would?

[cordiformed]

Pirates are always cooler than ninjas.

[a debate they've had many times, and one that sungki never gets tired of. he looks a little more serious at that question, though his smile doesn't leave his lips completely. he finally shrugs and steps closer.]

I don't know. I thought you might get...distracted. Or something.

[tempornado]

[ Hyojung clicks his tongue, refraining from keeping on debating the fact, even if he disagrees with Sungki.

He presses the tip of his tongue against his top lip. ]

Oh, believe me, nothing was going to distract me from - you.

[cordiformed]

[sungki chews his bottom lip for a moment, on the verge of blushing. and then he laughs and gives hyojung a playful shove, though he keeps his fingers curled in his shirt after he does.]

Come on, you don't have to use lines with me.

[and he doesn't have to be nervous, right? sungki takes a step closer, more into his space to look up at him.]

Just...kiss me.

[ Maybe under other circumstances, Hyojung would have laughed it off. The line, Sungki’s dismissal of it. He might have made a joke out of it, just to keep feeling cool.

But it’s Sungki, and he doesn’t care. Somehow, he likes Hyojung, without the jokes and the attitude and everything. He takes him as is, without artifice, and Hyojung has grown so used to pretending it’s hard to shed it, sometimes. He chuckles, and then swallows hard. ]

Sorry, force of habit.

[ He smiles then as he lifts a hand to cup the side of Sungki’s face, holding him gently as he leans in, not hesitating anymore to lean in and kiss Sungki, taking his time with it, pressing their lips together in a tentative first kiss. ]

I know.

[his voice is softer with those words. he used to think that hyojung was so cool - he still does. there's a lot of things about him that sungki could never manage.

but sometimes it feels like...he's not really sure, but hyojung seems lonely. and sungki just wants him to know that he doesn't have to be cool, he doesn't have to do or say the right things to earn his friendship. to earn this.

he likes him. so there's nothing shy or awkward when his lips touch the other boy's, just the pure want and eagerness that every first kiss should have.]

[ Hyojung likes to pretend he's really cool, but he's not. Inside, he's a scared, stupid little boy, who's running all the time. This is the longest he's stayed in one place since he started running, and he's terrified that every day will be the last.

Maybe that's a good enough reason to make the most of this, right now. And it seems like Sungki is on the same page, as there's nothing soft about the way he kisses back, eager and needy. Hyojung lets himself fall into it, wrapping his arms around Sungki as he kisses him hard, a little uncoordinated, too much spit and too much teeth, but full of enthusiasm.

When he pulls back, though, he takes a deep breath, thumbing at the corner of Sungki's lips. ]

Hey, we got time, right? Your mom's not about to barge in, is she? Because I - I know that you don't... have a lot of experience, okay, and I don't want to rush you.
